Do you want to be a pro at grooming your own eyebrows?! Taking care of your eyebrows is not a fun thing to do but with summer coming up you have to have the best eyebrows. There are things you can do to make sure you have the best arch in your eyebrows.
Here are three steps to keep the arch in your brows looking great:
- Before plucking, brush your brows upward. Take brow scissors to trim any long hairs. Repeat this process but brush downwards.
- Hold a pencil parallel to the side of the bridge of your nose to determine where the inner edge of your eyebrow should start. Place a pencil parallel to the outside corner of your iris to determine where your highest arch should be. The end of your brows should be where a pencil is angled diagonally from your nostril to the outside corner of your eye.
- Mark the spots with a brow pencil that just mapped out in the previous step. Begin plucking or waxing. You should remove no more than two rows of hair to keep a natural effect. Remove any additional hair from top of the outer edges to create a downward slope.
There is always room for mistakes when grooming your eyebrows. If you happen to go too heavy with the tweezers and thin your brows out too much then you can use brow pomade to fill in sparse areas. Use a tinted gel or powder to change the shade of your brows if you desire. It is actually illegal to dye or bleach your eyebrows even though salons still do it. Make sure you choose the right method to do your brows. Some people have less hair to remove so they use tweezers but people with thicker brows should use a waxing method.
